Everything went as planned for the last few weeks - The strike team arrived at the region without further notice, the Kuge delegates made the promised contacts and the local community responded well to the offered ‚aid‘. Only two days were remaining until the take-out should follow. But then the explosions hit Concilium and all parameters changed. Instead of a chilled wait for the new team, a covered escape to an emergency-exit needed to be executed and even there not only an imperial security team patrolled, but also a Gujia-TAG was deployed on the way.
With as many covered units as available the Kuge delegates were hidden in some boxes and a group of Hafzas together with an Ayyar and a Shujae is sent to buy as much time as possible to get them out of this mess.
The imperial security patrol was built out of Tai Sheng, Krit Kokram and Lei Gong on the left flank, opposing the ‚boxes‘ and a Zhanshi-team close to discover Knauf and the Ayyar as well as the Shujae on the right. Shortly after, the Gujia arrived, adding a whole new level of problems.
To cover this mission, Knauf cleared the overwatching Zhanshis so that the Shujae could gain some ground and the units Barids could deploy some repeaters to install some breaks on the TAG, if needed.
Unfortunately, the quickness of the planning lead to severe holes in the hacking-coverage so that the Gujia could make ist way to where Knaufs shots were done, downing a Dayalami and one Barid on the way. With a last try we could gain control of the machine but only by trading Knauf and the other Barid to its flamethrower.
The best plan here seemed to send it right back and start shooting at the named personel, appearing as a malfunction of not-so-well-build tech. While the distance was crossed easily be the TAG, the aiming-systems seemed to be violated by the pilot so that no real damage was done to the YuYing troops here.
It did not last long until the pilot could regain control and backed up with Tai Sheng and Krit Kokram the left flank was rolled up and the first delegate was taken hostage.
Kokram, experienced as he is, managed to outgun whatever the Sunduqbut offered, closing the last entry point for the emergency medic and allowing the YuYing-troops to get their hands on the second delegate, while the rest of the strike team tried to disappear as quickly and as unseen as possible, leaving only the dead bodies of prepared mercaneries behind. At least no one should get some hints on Hassassin-involvements in the recent uprisings.
That day the dices were truly with me. Exciting game. Thank you.
