Another incursion into HuaQiao, this time from the Nomad forces, their goal is to plant a beacon to relay targeting information back to their command post. We have dispatched QRTs to intercept them, they cannot be allowed to complete their task. Commander ZiYi from the DaoYing unit is directing Krit Kokram to the zone of operation.
Jazz and a couple of camouflaged units moved up the field to get to the consoles in an attempt to relocate the tracking beacon
The Nomads opened with their attack through the network and targeted our Haidao Killer Hacker, but the Haidao was able to counter the hacking attempt and fried Jazz.After more repositioning, our Haidao got taken out by Mary Problems and we lost our ability to properly counter any hacking attacks. The Gator then peeked out to fire upon the fireteam of Zuyong.
The Gator received was fired upon by the zuyong with the hmg and a ruishi, with a structure point stripped off it melded back to cover.
The Nomad hackers were able to hack our Zuyong and Krit cutting them off from the command and control centre, leaving the Yu Jing forces with little choice but to send the Ruishi forward without it's support. It blasted a Heckler apart before looking for its next target
The Ruishi moved up to engage the Gator, after a quick exhange of fire the Ruishi's shot was able to hit the weak spots of the Gator's armour and disabled the TAG.Krit was able to patch back in to control and led the remaining Zuyong paramedic to attempt a flanking maneuver to take out as many of the Nomad specialists as possible. The situation however at this point is dire and we just need to hold out until our reinforcements arrive.
The Nomads decided to press the advantage while most of our forces were either disable or knocked out of the battle and called in their reinforcements.
A Kulak and stempler zond got to the beacon to push it further into our territory, fortunately our Zuyong with the HMG was keeping watch and stopped their attempts at moving the beacon further in.
The Nomads' reinforments were slowly being whittled down, but it is still not enough to push them back, they moved their puppets in and took out the backline troops. Right now we are on damage control and it is up to Krit and the Daebak reinforcements to prevent anymore of the Nomads' advance.
Our Daebak reinforcements have landed and the Hwarang leading the team made a beeline for the antenna on the left flank. The Gator's pilot has been spotted guarding the antenna through the foilage and was made short work off with a quick burst of rifle fire.After some sporadic firefights, the Sulyong in the team cleared any remaining resistance in the middle of the field and the dokkaebi activated the console. Displacing the beacon back towards it's starting position. Krit pushed forward to the beacon and held on to it.
From the start of the engagement, we were already fighting on our back foot and one hand tied behind our backs, with half our forces getting cut off from control and the other half getting shot at. It's even a miracle we were even able to be somewhat functioning with the Nomads' infowar capabilities. We fought on however and tried our best in damage control, the Daebak force were instrumental in ensuring that we were able to prevent any further losses, but still we suffered a defeat this day.
