INTRODUCTION

Despite the fact that I'm more of an artist and community entertainer than a player, I decided to play in order to reinforce the tohaa presence in this campaign! It's a friendly noob vs noob game, for which I provided all the miniatures, but we didn't have a better camera. I wanted to do a somewhat RP game with the campaign, but I didn't have enough painted combined miniatures to play with, so I opted for the Ikari Company, which would be acting under contract for the UR Hegemony.
I thought about adding a Libertos to the tohaa because I still had space in the list, but I felt it would unbalance the Ikari list too much with the presence of the TAG Gorgos that I wanted to take out, I thought that by playing less optimally in the placement and in Round 1, and with an understaffed team, it would balance the game, but miscalculated... Ikari would have deserved heavier pieces, but given my game parameters, I was lacking in painted miniatures of this type to share.
The lists are designed to keep special skills to a minimum, so as not to have to go back into the rulebook too much. The principle of the lists will be quality versus quantity.

DEPLOYMENT ROLL

Roll result:
Rasail lieutenant: 19 / Brawler lieutenant: 7
Ikari keeps the Deployment and the Tohaa have the Initiative.

The gaming table has an open square with unobstructed lines of sight, so given the range of engagement, most troops will be in their optimal ranges of engagement. Here, we plan the main battle as soon as possible, because it's pretty obvious that this is where it's going to happen.

There's an open corridor below the bridge with a no-passing parameter for the TAG, saying he couldn't stoop to pass through it (I was a bit lazy to look up the rules on this), so the TAG will move towards the square and position himself to the south of the table, as this is more or less the only location that his base allows him to pass through.

ROUND 1

TOHAA TURN

Dossier: Operation Total Annihilation

QCC command has dispatched a Tohaa force to Edda in a sector under Ikari surveillance which is reputed to be acting under contract for the Ur Hegemony. The objective of the coalition's mission order is to eliminate opposition, take prisoners for interrogation, then search the area cleared of enemy presence for any Shasvastii infrastructure that could be used for local impersonation operations. The Tohaa command added that this operation could serve to rehabilitate the Tohaa reputation in the Human Sphere, and requested that the operation be monitored remotely by a Tohaa reporter for reporting purposes. The objective is to reaffirm the Tohaa speciality, not the Spiral Corps, in the hunt for combined forces, and to reaffirm the alliance with humanity.

The Tohaa command chose to show its strength by deploying its powerful Gorgos to incite the mercenaries of the Ikari company to surrender. However, they declined this generous offer of surrender. The force consisted of 3 Kamaels of basic infantry charged to cover and follow the TAG Gorgos, which would act as an armored spearhead to clear the sector. Command didn't want to see its communications operation collapse with the loss of Lieutenant, so it called for a Rasail, who will serve the dual purpose of providing experience in frontal assault operations.

First, the Kamael on top of the container is ordered to move forward to a cover aro above the adjacent building. This location will provide cover for the square where the adversary's main opposition is likely to be, and will offer cover for the TAG Gorgos advance.

The second Kamael, located in the center of the battlefield, jumps to the middle of the table, keeping an eye on the southern corridor leading to the Ikari deployment zone, in case a mercenary has the audacity to emerge from behind his container. He knows he has nothing to fear from these rats in hiding, and is ready to greet them with his combi rifle and his tohaa pride. He takes up a dominant posture, glaring down any opposition that dares to show its face.

The imposing Gorgos, hampered by his titanic size, has only one axis of progression towards the central square. He advances arrogantly, confident that his armor and vital systems will withstand the first unfavorable opposition. A Keisotsu rifleman tries to stop him, but misses and is incinerated in a flaming green orb from the Gorgos Flammenspeer. The metal monster takes up a position at the front of the square, in a blind spot, hoping to confront the Daiyokai a simili-TAG. He dreams of pulverizing this white box and making beautiful images for maya.

The last Kamael go to prone on the container, scanning to the south where the Japanese might appear. She knows they're reckless and unpredictable, so don't underestimate them.

Lieutenant Rasail, protected behind the shimmer of her nanoscreen, takes a position with her Chaksa. She sends her servant to the center of the battlefield, behind the central building, to watch over the southern corridor leading to the Ikari positions.

The turn ends with a third of the Tohaa covering the southern corridor, where two Ikari infantrymen are hiding behind a container. The Gorgos is ready to launch its offensive at the next opportunity.

IKARI TURN

The Ikari forces are trapped by the tohaa firing lines that have just appeared. Their numerical advantage is reduced to nothing. The Keisotsu and the Brawler hacker disobey their lieutenant and stay put. They know they have no chance of survival if they get out. They regret having accepted this rotten contract.

As for Keisotsu, she sneaks out of Tohaa's sight and climbs onto the central building. She go to prone down behind the railings, out of sight of enemy fire. She waits for the right moment to surprise the Gorgos, the metal monster currently dominating the square. She wants to shoot him in the head to paralyze his systems and push him down. She also wants to shoot down the Tohaa infantrymen who are arrogantly advancing towards her. At this moment, her only desire is to make them pay for their incursion.

Arslan, who serves as the force's occasional sniper, climbs quickly up the container ladder to try something. He has no choice other than to confront the Tohaa. His squad still has energy to burn, and the enemy is too close to stand idly by. He throws himself into the line of sight of the Gorgos and the Kamael. The Gorgos fails to target him - he's too fast. The Gorgos lets his comrade take care of him, saving himself for the Daiyokai, but he takes a shot that ricochets off his armor, forcing his protection systems to perform an evasive maneuver behind cover. The Kamael returns fire but also misses. Arslan shoots him with a special bullet, causing him to explode in a spray of blood that sprays over the roof of the building. The Gorgos will remember him. The Tohaa command fears for its operation, which is suddenly taking a turn for the worse...

The Daiyokai, seeing the Gorgos without cover of fire and apprehensive about his power at a distance, realizes that his advantage is his mastery of close combat. He decides to rush at him with fury, brandishing his saber. He almost hits the TAG Tohaa, but the Gorgos reacts with an unexpected dodge backwards.

The Rasail then seizes the opportunity to shoot at the Daiyokai, who is wounded. The Daiyokai then retreats, taking cover in a corner, out of sight. He remains ambushed, like a predator, and nourishes a grudge against the Gorgos, whom he was unable to defeat and who has sullied his honor by a maneuver unworthy of his rank. The duel so hoped for by all the commanders has not taken place, or at least not yet...

The Brawler, who acts as lieutenant for the Ikari company in this sector, sees that he has no more opposition in front. He decides to cover the square himself, to reinforce the defense against the Tohaa's armored assault, which will come. He counts on Arslan, the Keisotsu and the Daiyokai to repel him. At four to one, their numbers should compensate for their quality, he hopes.

ROUND 2

TOHAA TURN

The Tohaa command, which had offered the humans the chance to surrender alive, decides to end its operation as quickly as possible, in accordance with the directives of the mission order. He orders the TAG Gorgos, which can count on powerful armor, born of the latest advanced alien Tohaa technology, to launch its assault. The pilot knows he has a better chance of surviving at a distance than in hand-to-hand combat. He advances boldly, like an ancient tank, avoiding close contact. As soon as he appears, he unleashes a furious exchange of fire with Arslan, the Brawler and the Daiyokai. Despite their foresight, this imposing entrance confuses the Ikari mercenaries. Only the Brawler manages to hit the Gorgos, but it tank and refuses to let its program dodge its fighting stance. At the same time, the Gorgos directs its main weapon and fires impressive bursts with Spitfire AP. He divides his first burst between the Brawler (1 shot) and the Daiyokai (3 shots). He pulverizes them with a thunderous roar and a spray of blood that leaves no doubt as to their survival. The Daiyokai ends up on his knees, on fire, while the Tohaa triumph arrogantly.

The Tohaa continues his offensive into the square with all the energy provided by the support of his brohaa. This is the scene of a fierce exchange with Arslan, who valiantly withstands the Flammespeer's last available projectile. It's a tense exchange right to the end. The Gorgos and Arslan fire at each other, but never touch. Finally, the number of bullets from the Spitfire manages to put an end to this senseless exchange. Arslan finally dies, pulverized by the size of the Gorgos ammunition, leaving the square unprotected. He dies like a hero, but he dies all the same. The TAG Gorgos advances, with only Keisotsu present prone on the ground, not daring to stand up against the TAG alone. She trembles with fear and powerlessness...

IKARI TURN

Ikari is in disarray. No lieutenant, no hope, no future. The Tohaa have annihilated the majority of their force, leaving only a few terrified survivors whose only alternative is to retreat. They have nothing to throw against the armor of the TAG Gorgos, the metal monster that is crushing them without mercy. But the Japanese Keisotsu are too proud and courageous to surrender. They stay put, waiting for the final blow (or at least they think so). The last Brawler cowardly flees, leaving his comrades to their fate. It's the end of their contract, the end of everything. The Japanese are captured, tortured, interrogated about the shasvastii operations. The Tohaa celebrate, boast to themselves, glorify their death. They film their heroic sacrifice for the Tohaa communication service, which will have beautiful images to broadcast to the Human Sphere.

NOTA BENE OF THE LAST BRAWLER

Tohaa intelligence services have managed to locate this individual in another sector of the city of Edda. He is reputed to be dangerous, although cowardly, so avoid approaching him and call a QCC taskforce referent if you spot him.
